Blogmas Day 11 | Weekly Reading Update

Hey honeybees! This week was a really successful reading week and I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made on my content creation / social media goals. On this update I’ll be sharing my reading progress as well as some of the highlights of the week. I’ll also be linking the posts I uploaded to my blog this week (seven since I’ve been posting everyday for Blogmas lol) if you’re interested.

I’ll start with my reading and then go from there!

My Reading This Week

Books finished: 3

The Christmas Spirit by Debbie Macomber

VAMPS: Fresh Blood by Nicole Arned

Virtual Society by Herman Narula

Currently reading: 1

Wasn’t so sure about this book at first but I’m starting to really enjoy it! It’s kinda sad?? But it’ll be okay.

This was an usually good reading week for me, especially with finals being this week. I just really needed to be reading to take my mind off of things (school, the gloomy weather, the suffocating loneliness) and I LOVED Vamps so that didn’t hurt. Hopefully next week I’ll be able to read just as much. Or at least enjoy my reads.

Other Happenings

I finished my finals! Another quarter down and only…6 more to go *cries*. I ended the quarter with straight Bs so I’m going to take it as a win considering this is my first quarter back after taking a six month break and I work almost full time while going to school full time.

I’m going to savor every second of my winter break because winter quarter is going to be stressful. Not only do I get really bad SAD during winter, but I decided to take 17 units (5 units more than the suggested minimum for financial aid) so I could hopefully graduate in time. Love it here.

I went to Barnes and Noble twice this week (can you believe I just cancelled my membership last month and then discovered there was a B&N twenty minutes away from me?? I’m so mad at myself for not knowing!). It’s been so nice to pop in there and go to the cafe to study among the books.

I was also at the library twice this week because my library holds came in! They’re giving me two weeks to read both of them, which is kinda disappointing because they usually give 2.5-3 weeks per library hold, but I’ve been reading a lot so I think I can manage to get them both in by the end of the month. I just can’t read anything in between like I usually do.

It’s been rainy so I’ve been enjoying staying in and making coffee while getting some work/reading done on my couch. I’m not fond of the dark and cold winters here, but I’m trying my best not to get in that really bad headspace I was in last winter.
