Hello again honeybees! I’m back with another outrageous and late TBR but since it’s Spring Break in a week, I’m hopeful I will be able to read a lot!
March was so slumpy and blah that I need to make up for it in April. Let’s cross our fingers and gather our books!
April TBR
This month’s New Classic Book Club picks are:
- Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
- Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oaks
I’m also participating in the Latinx Book Club and the April book is…
Storm Runner by C.J. Cervantes
I’m so excited to read these three books for book club! I always have fun reading with New Classic Book Club and a Latinx book club is just a dream.
OWLs Readathon TBR
I don’t read very much in a single month. Always less than ten books, more than three. But I have high hopes for this readathon. I’ve decided that I want to become a Librarian! However, because I’m still part Ravenclaw, I can’t help but set my goal to complete every exam. Like I keep saying, what’s the point of a TBR if it isn’t crazy ambitious?
I’m going to list all of the exams and the books I’ll be reading for those exams, adding an asterisk (*) next to those that would qualify me to move on to sit for the NEWTs that I’ll need to become a Librarian.
*Ancient Runes (Retelling) – Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes
*Arithmacy (1+ author) – Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Astronomy (“star” in the title) – The Fault In Our Stars by John Green or The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon
Care of Magical Creatures (land animal on the cover) – Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Charms (adult book) – The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
*Defense Against the Dark Arts (title starts with an R) – Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
Divination (set in the future) – The Fever King by Victoria Lee
Herbology (plants on the cover) – The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
*History of Magic (published 10+ years ago) – Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Since this is 11 days late I’ll tell you that I’ve already finished this.)
Muggle Studies (contemporary) – Since We Last Spoke by Brenda Rufener
Potions (sequel) – Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
*Transfiguration (sprayed edges or red on the cover) – Blanca y Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore / Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
And that’s all! I’m sure I’ll totally veer off course in terms of TBR but I always like to set one just to outline what I hope to read that month.
Are you participating in the Magical Readathon? If so, what career are you aiming for? If not, what’s on your TBR for April?
Bye for now honeybees.
Oh so happy that you’re joining us at Latinx Book CLub this month! Hope you enjoy all your books 🙂

Haha, congrats on your decision to become a Librarian! Good luck on tackling all those exams/books! I’ve never heard of the Magical Readathon before, but it sure sounds like fun!
March was also a terrible reading month for me, so I too am trying to make April better. Some books I want to read this month are Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith, Wild Beauty by Anna Marie McLemore, the Cerulean by Amy Ewing, and hopefully more!
Wonderful post, I’m wishing you are very happy, reading-filled April!
