Hey honeybees! We’re over a week into Blogmas! Can you believe it? I’ve been loving posting everyday and I hope you’ve been enjoying these posts.
Today we’re getting into allll the series I have yet to finish and some I will never finish. Let’s jump into it.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
I will be finishing this book! I’ve only read the first book but I’m pretty sure I gave it a 5/5 stars when I read it in…2021? The only thing stopping me from reading it is that my copy of the first book is one of the covers that doesn’t match any of the sequels so I’m not sure which cover of the sequel to get. I know that sounds really dumb but it’s a bookstagrammer aesthetic challenge that I struggle with.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber
I gave the first book 5/5 stars but unfortunately will not be continuing on with the series. I just didn’t care for the plot and characters any more to continue on with the series for another two books. I tried to reread the first book but it didn’t stand up to the first reading.

The Diviners by Libba Bray
I loved The Diviners and it was a great series to fall into in 2021. But every book seemed to get progressively more boring for me? I became uninterested in everything but the plot but because the characters are so important to the story it wasn’t enough to keep me interested. I’m not sure if I’ll ever finish the last book.

Cursebreaker series by Brigid Kemmerer
I finished and loved the first book and I started the second book but…I don’t know? I didn’t love that the second book started with the POV of a certain character but I still want to give it a chance. I really liked the first book and I do want to finish this series next year.

The Brown Sisters by Talia Hibbert
I know exactly why I haven’t finished this series and it’s because I loved Chloe Brown so much that I’m afraid nothing else will compare. I know that doesn’t exactly make sense because these are different books but that’s what’s stopping me. I think I’ll really enjoy the next books in this series though and this next year will be the year I get to them (I really want a good reading year in 2023, I deserve it).

Dark Olympus by Katee Robert
I’m done reading this series, which is so unfortunate because I loved the first book. Electric Idol, book two, really tipped me off to the fact that these books are too long for my taste and she’s using the same troupes over again for these books. I think I’ll enjoy her other series but this one is done for me.

I have so many more that could be added to this list that I might have to do a part two. Maybe: series I’ll finish in 2023? Lol.
Which series have you not finished yet? Do we have any in common? Are there any series I’ve given up on that you think I should give a second chance? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you for reading! Find me on Twitter, Instagram, and Goodreads for more bookish content and chats. See you soon!

I gave up on The Diviners too! I think I had hyped it up in my mind, and I just didn’t love it.

I need to continue AEITA before I forget what it’s about lol. I might have to give Caraval a second chance! Maybe I’ll try the audiobooks!

You must return to The Brown Sisters series. The second book is actually my favorite, so I hope you give it another shot soon. Hope you enjoy any of these you end up finishing.
