2021 Bookish Goals, Intentions, and TBR!

Hello again honeybees! This is my first post in the new year so while I am a bit late, Happy New Year!

I’ve been meaning to get this post up but I’ve had a slower start to the year, as I’ve been pretty ill since November. But I’m trying to be as motivated as possible and set a general vision for the year (I’m one of those people that’s absolutely lost without a plan).

Since this is a book blog, let’s start with some books that are high priority on my TBR this year!

To Be Read

Advanced and Gifted Copies

The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins

Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas

Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley

The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Mirror Season by Anna-Marie McLemore

Trouble Girls by Julia Lynn Rubin

Can’t Take That Away by Steven Salvatore

From Far and Wide by Telma Rocha

(These are all I can think of for the first half of 2021).

Backlist

Vampire Academy by Rachelle Mead

Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

You Had Me At Hola by Alexis Daria

The Pretty One by Keah Brown

A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor by Hank Green

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

There will be separate posts coming for anticipated releases and series I’m going to be reading!

Goals for 2021

Reading goal: 21 books (but I really hope to surpass that)

Social media goals: 7. Yup. Seven is my lucky number this year. I’m hoping to reach 7k on Instagram, 700 followers on my blog, and 700 Twitter followers. Is this likely? Not exactly. But I like to dream big. Another goal of mine is to post consistently (mostly on my blog because I be forgetting I have a blog for weeks) and to experiment with different types of content.

Writing goals: Publish something. It doesn’t matter where. School paper, a literary magazine, Wattpad, Amazon, anywhere. I want to finally overcome my fear of sharing my writing and get even a few lines published somewhere where people will read them.

Personal goal: As I’m going into this year pretty sick, I’m going to be focusing on my health and happiness in 2021. Getting back to self care and self love practices like journaling everyday and Self Care Sundays.

Academic goal: Actually go to class. Last quarter was rough and while this one looks to be worse, my goal is to be present in class every time. It’ll save me so much unnecessary stress down the line.

Well that’s it for me. The effort this took to write and it’s so short I can’t. Anywayyy, expect lots of posts from me in the coming days as I catch up on the whole New Years thing.

What are some books you want to read this year? Did you set a reading goal? Let me know, I’d love to chat! ❤

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post. Please consider following for more posts like this! You can also find me on Instagram, Twitter, and Goodreads, buy me a cup of coffee on ko-fi. Thanks again for reading! Bye for now honeybees.
