Hello again honeybees! Let’s not talk about how late this post is and talk about this amazing Leo energy! I have high hopes for this month 💛
July was such a depressing and slumpy month but I’m in such a good mood. That might explain these uh optimistic goals.

To Be Read
Goal: 7 books

Roaring by Lindsay Duga
This was pitched by Entangled Teen as Gatsby meets This Savage Song and once I saw that on Instagram I requested it on Netgalley so fast! It came out on August 4th and because this is posted so late I *cough* kinda finished this already, so review to come.

Sia Martinez and the Moonlit Beginning of Everything by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
If you’ve been following me for a bit, you’ve seen this beauty on a few posts. I got accepted for this Sia Martinez in May and I started reading it, but this recent flare up is intense and my hands and arms can’t handle holding the kindle for too long. That’s why I’m SO glad that Libro.fm offered this as one of the August ALCs! I downloaded it immediately and can’t wait to read it!
This title is releasing on August 11.

Blazewrath Games by Amparo Ortiz
I’m on the Caffeine Book Tour for this one and I still can’t believe I have it! I’m so excited to read it. My tour stop is in September but I don’t want to pressure myself to read too much next month, so this is pretty high on my TBR for August.

Miss Meteor by Anna-Marie McLemore and Tehlor Kay Mejia
Another tour! This one for Hear Our Voices Tours. I just, I’m speechless still. I can’t believe this is coming in the mail. Really hoping to read this at the end of the month, just in time for its release in September.

Ever Cursed by Corey Ann Haydu
Soooooo, this one came out on July, 28. I know. It doesn’t archive until September something but I want to read it this month and clear up my schedule for September. This is a sapphic read and that’s about all I remember from the synopsis.
My TBR is small because I’m leaving more room for mood reading. And possibly requesting more books on Netgalley oops.

August Goals
- Clean my room at home and pack. College starts at the end of September and I secured an apartment just a few days before posting this, so I need to clean my mess of a room and downsize of books and clothes. If you’re interested, I’m selling a lot of my books on Depop for pretty cheap because I need them gone (they will be donated if I can’t sell them before I move).
- Get updated with reviews. I’m behind on reviews on my blog and there’s a Bookstagram series I promised in June that I still haven’t posted, so I’m making those two my priority this month. Reviews and tips for your bookstagram feed are coming soon!
- Make better food choices! This isn’t remotely book related but hey, treat your body the way it deserves to be treated. I’ve been eating horribly this whole lockdown period but it’s only resulted in feeling worse, so I’m trying to be more mindful of what goes into my body.
- Experiment with digital art/film. I miss drawing so much. I used to doodle a lot and be creative in my bullet journal but I’ve had to stop making bujo spreads because this recent flare up is no joke. I’m thinking that it would be nice to have small doodling projects on my iPad and maybe try filming a few things on Instagram reels or for a possible…BookTube channel? 👀 I don’t know, this Leo season got me all creative. I’ll update you in my wrap up if anything came out of this chaotic creative energy.

What do you have on your August TBR? Do you have anything planned this month? Any new projects you’re starting?
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post. Please consider following for more posts like this! You can also find me on Instagram, Twitter, and Goodreads, buy me a cup of coffee on ko-fi, or you can buy books I no longer want on Depop. Thanks again for reading! Bye for now honeybees.

This is such an amazing list of goals and I’m wishing you all the best with them! I’m also feeling quite creative this August; bullet journaling has really helped me stay motivated in a good mood 💗
If you do start a Booktube channel, I’ll be one of your first subscribers 🤭
