Hello again honeybees! Today I’m here with a very ambitious TBR but I honestly think I can do it. If you’ve seen any of my wrap ups, you know I really only read 5+ books during summer or winter break, but with school being online for the time being I really think I can do this. (If I keep saying “I can do this” maybe then I’ll actually do it).
Magical Readathon TBR
Let’s start with my Magical Readathon TBR! (I linked is the creator’s video explaining this readathon) My career of choice for my second year of examinations is Journalist/Writer. The books I hope to read for this are:
History of Magic (book featuring witches): Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling (reread)
As much as I love HP, I really don’t want to reread this. It’s so big and I want to read new books (for the first time in forever) so drop your recs for witch books please and thank you!
Muggle Studies (Contemporary): Little Universes by Heather Demetrios
I already started this on the 1st, since it’s an ARC and a buddy read with my friend Belle. This is my first new contemporary in years (if you don’t count my Ari and Dante rereads) and I’m a nervous kind of excited! So far, so good!
Potions (book under 150 pages): The Little Prince by Antione De Saint-Exupery
Also known as the only book to make me sob my eyes out. Coming in at 96 pages, this book fits the prompt perfectly.
I chose a very easy going career because I wanted to be lowkey. Then I ended up deciding to do two readathons so yeah, I’m smart. If you have a book you really love featuring witches, I’d love to get a few recommendations! Right now I have HP4 as a placeholder but I really want to read something new.
Reading Rush TBR
Read a book with a house on the cover: Babylon Revisited by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I’ve had this book for a year now and according to 83% of you on my Instagram, this fits the prompt. We bend rules in this household, not break them.
Read a book in the same room the whole time: I’m going to wait and see which book I can fit into this prompt! It’s not like there’s anywhere to go, anyway.
Read a book set somewhere you wish you could go: Outside *cough* I mean, I’m unsure on this one. I’ll keep you updated!
Bonus: Read a book that will make you smile: The Little Prince or Ari and Dante!
I’m leaning more towards The Little Prince because it’s shorter and I’ve been so good with not rereading Ari and Dante before my usual reread time (summer), so we’ll see.
Other Books On My TBR This Month
Crave by Tracy Wolff
I’m so so so so so so so so excited for this one!
Hey, did I mention I was excited for this one?
If my preorder is delayed, I’m going to cry tears of understanding sadness. But really, I need some Twilight-esque paranormal romance in my life right now and I can’t wait to abandon every book I own to read this.
Magic by Midnight by Allison S. Bass
I’m on an upcoming MTMC Tour for this book and I’ve been itching to start it since it came in the mail. Once I get in the retelling mood I’m going to devour this one!
Dark Skies by Danielle L. Jensen
Speaking of MTMC Tours, I read Dark Shores about a year ago for an MTMC Tour (it was my first physical ARC that I ever received and I’m still emo) and I really enjoyed it! While perusing Netgalley for the first time in ever I stumbled across
Well that’s it, I think. Please keep in mind that I only read average of three books a month so this is very ambitious but I’m sure I can make a dent in this TBR.
Are you doing the O.W.L.s readathon or Reading Rush? If so, which books are on your TBR? If not, which book are you excited to read this month? Do you have an ambitious TBR too? Tell me everything in the comments!
Bye for now honeybees!
