Hello again honeybees! I’m slowly learning how to balance school and reading, and maybe this month I’ll add book blogging to the juggling venture. While waiting for a good rhythm to develop, I’m writing these posts when I can, and am much more active on Instagram and Twitter. (Links to both down below)
Luckily though, it’s fall (no one can try to persuade me otherwise) and it’s almost Hispanic Heritage month! I’ll be participating in Latinxathon and will leave my TBR after my miscellaneous TBR.
To Be Read
Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
I reread this every year with my best friend Bianca and we decided to start early this year! I’m so excited to dive back into these books, especially since they are huge source of comfort in this stressful time of college apps and senior year everything.
I cleverly closed my review requests for September and wow I feel free! And a little lost? I know I have a few things planned for October/November but I didn’t expect my calendar to be so empty this month. Let’s take advantage of this and really go with the flow.
TBR For Latinxathon
Voices: a book by an Indigenous or Afro-Latinx author
Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
Latinidad: a book by an intersectional Latinx author
When The Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore
Roots: a translated book or a book featuring one plus language
Shadow of the Wind by
Heritage: a book by an author from a non-Spanish speaking country
Pride by Ibi Zoboi
Group Book: The Grief Keeper by Alex Villasante
Other Goals
- Post eight times on my blog. With school being as busy as it is, I’m not sure this will be feasible but I’ll try my best. Since June, I’ve steadily been posting more. June was five times, July was six, August was seven and you see what I’m saying. I seriously love blogging and I love writing book reviews, but I haven’t been reading much so I feel very uninspired.
- Read three books. I’m setting the bar low and hoping I surpass it because August sucked in terms of reading. There’s so much to read and I’m going to attempt to read as much as I can!
That’s actually it! I’m trying to keep the amount of goals I have low and my expectations down. Book blogging is really important to me but I don’t want to put too much pressure to perform at my best because I have my school (and future) to think about right now.
What about you? What are your goals for this month? Any exciting books that are coming out or that you’re anxious to get to? Tell me everything in the comments!
Have a good month! Thanks for reading! For more bookish content, follow me on Goodreads, Instagram, and Twitter. See you in the next post. Love, Destiny ♡
I love the idea of closing review requests for a while. I think I need to do similarly because arc requests are stressing me right now. Fab post! I hope you enjoy your reread Destiny <3333

Harry Potter is definitely a great series to reread when life is busy; gives you a magical escape.
Love your goals 😍 I have similarly decided to set myself weekly goals to maintain production levels! Mine are to read 15 mins before bed, play piano twice a week and post a blog that’s not a review ☺️
Hope you enjoy your reads ☺️💖

Those are great goals! I would love to learn how to play the piano one day! 😍 And I totally get what you mean about not just posting reviews. I always try to mix in weekly memes like Top Ten Tuesday or Waiting on Wednesday to spice things up. Thanks for reading!

I loved how you included goals in the post, it’s a neat idea. I read Poet X and When The Moon Was Ours and loved them. I hope you like them too!
I want to post consistently on my blog and try and read as many books as I can this month.
