Hello again honeybees! This tag has been all over my feed recently and I’m all about books, music, and trying to cover up the lack of book reviews on here due to my slump. These are also really fun to write and easy to read— a win-win!

Hit Rewind: a book you go back to again and again?

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. This is the first of many times that I will bring up Ari and Dante, I can promise you that. Otherwise, I also love to reread Harry Potter, The Great Gatsby, and Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

Romantic Ballads: a book that gives you all those fluttery feels?

I haven’t read one of these in a while but I’m going to go with Twilight. My stomach does funny things when the Cullens come into the story and I just *heart eyes*. What is correct grammar? Is it a spice?

Release Radar: a new release book you are excited for?

To be honest, I’ve been so consumed with school that book news goes right over my head. A few end of the year releases that I’m excited for are: Serpent and Dove, Wayward Son, and Ninth House.

Discover Weekly: a book you haven’t read yet but want to discover?

I feel like I already know everything about this book because everyone has read it, but Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston sounds like such a gem!

Alone Again: your favorite book genre to read on your own?

Okay so my answer to this is…interesting? I’m not going to spell it out for you all but any book with sexy times needs to be read with all the doors locked and a sign saying “Not Home” hanging. Honestly, reading that stuff in public should be considered a sport.

Alternative: an indie book or author everyone should read!

I haven’t had much luck with indie books so far, so I really can’t answer this. I have yet to read a book or author that I highly recommend.

Cheesy Hits: a book full of cheese that you just love?

I haven’t read Contemporary in a quick minute but Geekerella by Ashley Poston was such an adorable book! (It’s also the last fluffy contemporary I read *clears throat*)

Summer Hits: a book you reread every summer?

Ari and Dante! This is the perfect summer book and I always look forward to reading it! I swear I could reread this book for the rest of my life. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend picking it up before the summer is over!

Power Hour: an empowering feminist book or character you adore?

The first badass female character that comes to mind is Elizabeth from The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White. I read this book almost a year ago, but I still haven’t forgotten how cool and independent she was!

Audrey Rose is another character that comes to mind. I loved her rebellious and intelligent character in Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kari Maniscalco and I can’t wait to read more about her in the following books.
