Hello again honeybees! I’m here with my Reading Rush 2019 Wrap Up! This is my first time participating in the Reading Rush (previously called BookTube-A-Thon) and I did a lot better than I thought I would.
The ultimate goal is to read 7 books in 7 days, and there are given prompts that help guide the reading.
Books Read
Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds
I finished this for the “Read A Book In One Place” challenge. It was super quick and the audiobook was great! I think it took about an hour to complete at 2x speed, and since this was at 5am on Monday morning, it really helped to boost confidence.
Hello Girls by Emily Henry and Brittany Cavallaro
This completed the “Read A Book With Purple On The Cover” challenge. I got this ARC at Yallwest and read it on a whim, and I finished in less than two days. A full review will be up soon.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman
I’m using this for the “Read A Book Then Watch The Movie” and “Nonhuman Character” challenges. This was, again, really quick and I finished within a few hours. Since it’s one of my favorites (if not my favorite) movies, I’m always down to rewatch it.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (screenplay) by J.K. Rowling
This one is for the “Book You Meant To Read Last Year” and “Five Or More Words In The Title” challenges. I read this in one day and I miss the movie so much. Newt is precious.
Total Books Read: 4 books
Okay so I thought I read more? I had to double some up to fulfill prompts, and I managed to get all of them but the “debut author” challenge.
My goal for the readathon was five books, but I did finish a book on Sunday before it started, so I don’t feel too bad. I also got pretty sick in the last end of the week and hardly read anything.
Did you participate in the Reading Rush? If so, what did you read and which badges did you get? If not, how was your week? I want to all the bookish news!

I feel like I want to try and doing Reading Rush next time it comes around. I didn’t even know about it until it had already started this year

Congrats on how much reading you got done! I finished five books for the readathon and was really enjoying participating, but I started feeling kind of burnt out the last two days.

I felt the same way, I gave up a few days in but I had a good first couple days. Five books is so good! I’m hoping to shoot for seven books next year 💕

I read five books for the Reading Rush and was able to double up to get all the badges, which I was really happy with! I got off to a pretty slow start but really picked up my reading in the end (I finished my last books 10 minutes before midnight on Sunday haha)
