Another book tag! This one was created by Charlie over at Snow and Books and is all about one of my favorite musicals, Dear Evan Hansen. If you haven’t watched/listened to it yet, I definitely recommend doing so. And now, onto the tag!
Anybody Have a Map (a character who is lost emotionally or physically): I’m going to say Griffin from History Is All You Left Me because pain.
Waving through a window (a character with social anxiety): Cath from Fangirl. Obvious answer. She’s honestly my spirit animal.
For Forever (a character with a best friend/best friends): Simon Spier and his friends come to mind here. I love the dynamic between Simon, Nick, Abby, and most definitely Leah.
Sincerely, Me (a character who writes letters or diary entries): this is such a cop out answer but Laura Jean.
Requiem (a character you didn’t mourn): *Harry Potter spoiler* That one guy in Deathly Hallows. You know who. (that pun, I’m dying!!)
If I Could Tell Her (a character who took forever to confess their love): Being as vague as possible, Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows.
Disappear (a character who didn’t make the film adaptation): Alice Spier, Simon’s sister in Love, Simon. Missed her.
You Will Be Found (a character who was gone for most of the book that showed up out of nowhere): I literally have no idea. Has this happened in books before?
To Break In A Glove (a character who was close to their dad/had a good father figure): Sal from The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Saenz. To make things better, it was his adoptive gay, Mexican-American father and honestly they were the CUTEST.
Only Us (love triangle): there’s soo many and I love this trope so much. Most recently, the love triangle square thing in Red Queen. So many feels.
Good For You (a character who made a bad decision): Tris Prior from Divergent. I won’t get into specifics but I never really cared for her to begin with.
Words Fail (a book that left you a sobbing mess): The Little Prince! I read it earlier this year and have never sobbed so much while reading.
So Big/So Small (a character whose parents are divorced): I don’t think I’ve read a book where there was divorced parents. If I have, it wasn’t a big aspect of the book and I quickly forgot about it.
Finale (a book that came together beautifully in the end): Most recently, Wild Beauty. It was a satisfying ending.
this is such a cute tag whattt
