December TBR | Blogmas Day 2

Hello again honeybees! In my last post I touched on my Goodreads goal. I’m currently at 61 books read out of 70 (61/70). This is slightly terrifying considering I have only hit 10 books read in a month once this year and it was mostly comics. There are a lot of books I want to get to before the end of 2018 so let’s get into this overly ambitious TBR.

Goal: 9 books

Harry Potter series books 3-7

I decided to start my reread the week of Thanksgiving and didn’t take into account that I read at a snail’s pace. Hopefully I can finish them all before the new year because I failed last year.

The Violet Theory by Elodie Iver

I have been meaning to read this book since January? I think? I bought it last month and the sequel will release early next year so I need to read this book ASAP. I read the first chapter and I loved it so I’m sure it’ll be a breeze to read.

The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare

I read The Mortal Instruments series four years ago and I loved it. Period. Why did I never pick this up? I don’t know, but it’s been recommended to me at least thirty times this year (no joke) and I heard it has a love triangle! *squeal* All three books are sitting on my desk and I can’t wait to binge read the series during winter break!

Blanca y Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore

I have no idea what it’s about but it’s Anna-Marie McLemore and Latinx so I’m there. Blanca y Roja has been on my tbr since before it’s release and I’m late to the game but I don’t want to end the year without reading this book. I know it will be an instant favorite and I can’t wait to start.

Dear Martin by Nic Stone

This book is really short and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. This is also a #charliesrecs book (see more here) so I look forward to seeing why my friend Charlie loves this book so much and hopefully loving this as well.

I’m awful at keeping to TBRs because I’m 100% a mood reader. This is also more ambitious than any TBR I’ve ever made because midterms will take over the first half of December.

Burning Questions:

What’s on your TBR for December? Are you a mood reader or do you stick to lists? Which one of these should I pick up first?

Bye for now honeybees.

Love, Destiny

For me I have a large tbr of books I really want to read but you never know what book I’ll pick next. I can’t say “I’m going to read Harry Potter first and then Twilight” because I’ll probably read HP and then something totally random before getting to Twilight
