A Very Loving TBR

Ahh, Valentines Day what a great holiday…

Unless your single. Especially if you’re single.

Couples kissing, you trying not to puke. So much chocolate on sale and you’re trying to stick to a semi healthy diet but—

I know I’m going to be buying myself a handful of roses (they’re soo pretty!) and as many books as my bank account will allow. This year I’m dedicated to spending this heartfelt day with my lovely books.

While I like YA contemporary, I don’t read it as much as I want to. This month I’m going to challenge myself to read the mushy gushy romances that I’ve been putting off. Hopefully then I’ll forget that I don’t have a Valentine…not that I’m bitter or anything.

This is an ambitious tbr (but honestly, aren’t they all?) and one that definitely makes me want to puke, but the good kind, ya know? You don’t know? Oh well, onward we go.

My February tbr

Meet Cute by Various Authors (including Jennifer L. Armentrout, Nina LaCour, and Nicola Yoon)

WhenDimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West

Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Simon vs the homo sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (reread)

Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James (reread)

There’s also this pre-Valentines day for the petty single ladies like me. If you haven’t heard of Galentine’s day, it’s fine, it’s not an actual holiday anyway. But as a girl that reads (probably too much) women and gender related literature, I figured I would share my Galentine’s Day tbr.

My Glanetines Day tbr

The Power by Naomi Alderman

Red Clocks by Leni Zumas

Mrs. Packard by Emily Mann

Feminism is for Everybody by bell hooks

Ten books, that’s reasonable right?

It’s fine. I’m fine. We’re fine.

Here’s to reading until your hearts content and crying over your tbr pile. Who needs actual relationships anyway? I must go, Mr. Grey is ready to see me now.

Bye for now bibliophiles.
